In Maltese culture, Maltese weddings are lavish affairs. For instance, it doesn’t matter whether you’re planning an intimate wedding for close family or a spectacular affair for 400. First thing to remember, is that any wedding held on the rock, will be surely one to remember!
As can be seen, large buffet receptions are very much part of the traditional Maltese wedding. In order to live the most unforgettable experience, the key factor is not only finding your right Maltese wedding photographer, but also the perfect wedding venue. In fact, it is possible to choose from a variety of hotels and stunning palaces with gardens, converted farmhouses.
Let me mention the beautiful venues we had the pleasure to work at. To begin with, Ir-Razzett, a newly restored 200 year old Maltese hourse. A fine example of a traditional Maltese farmhouse. Equally important is The Villa Brasserie, a romantic 19th century venue overlooking the stunning Balluta Bay. Another key point in terms of stunning wedding venues, is the charming stone ‘’loggia’’ The Xara Lodge. Located only 18 minutes from the airport and 12 minutes from the Malta’s Capital city.
Another venue which must be remembered is Ta’ Frenc restaurant in Gozo. Last but not least, with attention to luxury, the last wedding we have worked at was at The Sheer Bastion. A fantastic hotel which offers a breathtaking panorama from its top.
Above all, in Malta it is possible to realize a diverse range of wedding formats. From small intimate weddings with close friends and family to church weddings and traditional receptions. First thing to remember is that Malta is predominantly Roman Catholic, consequently this beautiful island boasts around 365 stunning churches.
In addition, this makes Malta as well as Gozo the ideal destination for those desiring a religious wedding. For those opting for a civil wedding ceremony, the list of the outdoor as well as indoor venues is endless.
